This is a manual realized under the National integrated training plan for the footwear sector - Action System Training of trainers - in the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education, University and Research, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, Confindustria, ANCI, trade union confederations, CGIL, CISL and UIL, FILTEA CGIL - FENCA  CISL - UILTA UIL, the regions of Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Lombardia, Marche, Puglia, Tuscany, Veneto, signed on 16:03:05.
The project saw the collaboration of various partners, with the direction of the Regional School Office of Emilia-Romagna (Managing Director  Luigi Catalano, Executives and Technicians Piazza Ettore and Cinzia Buscherini), coordination of Cercal, participation of the Superior Institute of Education "Marie Curie" (School Director  Carmelo Sergi) and it is a really genuine educational kit to be distributed to schools and to be used  to train teachers.
For the preparation of the contents it has been received contributions and experiences from Giovanni  Bresciani  and Antonella Cacciani, Studio Metha and Associates for Europaform Consortium; Eugenia Girotti and Daniela Dondena for ANCI; Serena Musolesi, Monia Lomonico, Roberto Cumbo for Cercal; Maria Formica, Mauro Pescara, Domenico Perusso, Carlo Crosato  for Footwear Politechnical Institute; Marco Ricchetti and Paolo Rossi for Hermes lab.

The publication was produced with funds allocated to Ecipar Emilia-Romagna from the  Region Emilia-Romagna, the European Union, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, through the European Social Fund under the project "DESK - District and local system Enhancement through Sharing Knowledge "(FSE Ob. 3 axis D, Measure 1, Ref PA 785/RER/03, approved by resolution of the Regional Board No. 1168 of 23/06/2003).
D.E.S.K. experienced the application of the methodology of benchmarking on nine of the local productive systems  and chains of the Emilia-Romagna Region, this volume shows the results of the work done on the local system of the footwear sector of Rubicon Area (area of San Mauro Pascoli, Gatteo, Savignano sul Rubicone), work done in collaboration with Cercal and Ecipar Forlì-Cesena.
The project has received contributions from academics such as Andrea Lipparini, University of Bologna, Luciano Pilotti, Andrea Ganzaroli and Gianluca Fiscato, University of Milan, Cristiano Furore, Catholic University of Milan.

The volume presents the results of a search by Cercal promoted and supported by the municipality of San Mauro Pascoli, the Province of Forlì-Cesena, from associations and unions in the Province of Forlì-Cesena and the territory of the Rubicon Area.
The empirical study was conducted by Scientific Educational Pole of Forlì - Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, under the direction of Paul Zurlo, a professor of Sociology at the Faculty of Political Sciences "Roberto Ruffilli" of Forlì, and has been made in the project "Job network: development of a network of services for a quality jow market in the footwear industry", financed by Regione Emilia-Romagna (FSE Ob. 3, Axis A, Measure 2, Ref PA 727/RER / 02, approved by resolution of the Regional Board No. 1510, 02/08/2002).
The objective of this research was to reconstruct the model of social organization in the district coinciding with the municipalities of Gatteo, San Mauro Pascoli and Savignano sul Rubicone, with reference to the footwear industry, and hence to reach the definition of analytic proposals able to support those who are responsible for influencing the evolution of the area, trying to turn aware projects and activities designed to develop the local job market.

The publication stems from an initiative of Cercal which had the objective to build and promote a comprehensive map of professional backgrounds - and related skills – concerning the footwear and leather goods sectors, through the systematization of the profiles themselves and the definition of quality, expertise and training standards.
The volume has been achieved through the project "The UFC System for training in footwear and leather goods sector", financed by  Emilia-Romagna Region (FSE Ob. 3, C axis, Measure 1, Ref PA 84/RER/00, approved by the Regional Council Act No. 010914 of 13/11/2000).
It contains the results of a study done by Cercal on professional profiles  existing  in footwear and leather goods companies

within the production, research and development departments, through the listing of the tasks entrusted to the figure and the description of basic, technical, professional and cross skills that the figure should have. It  has moreover a database  of Capitalisable Training Units needed to structure trainings that develop key skills examined by the research.

Title: From economic district to training district

The volume has been realized under the project Action System "From economic district to training district - Action 12", financed by the Province of Forlì-Cesena (FSE Ob. 3, C axis, Measure 1, Ref PA 2016/F0 / 01, approved by act  No. 120, 18/12/2001).
It presents the results of a search about the evolutionary and changing dynamics taking place in the footwear industry in the district of San Mauro Pascoli, Savignano sul Rubicone, Gatteo. The work had the objective of gathering information needed to reorganize and streamline the training and professional guidance to support the economic development of the provincial footwear district.
The research was conducted in collaboration with Riccardo Silvi and Davide Stefanelli, University of Bologna - Seat in Forlì, and with the support of the municipality of San Mauro Pascoli and CERCAL.
Through the study have been identified the players of the chain that, within the district had a higher profitability and were also highlighted the factors that led to their competitive advantage. It was also carried out the macroeconomic analysis of the footwear market, which has allowed to place the San Mauro district compared to competitive Italian contest.
